Limitation of liability
The limits of responsibility that an insurer and plan administrator will take. For example, the insurer does not have to pay medical benefits beyond what is stated in the certificate of insurance.
GOOD TO KNOW
Watch out for clauses stating that the insurer or plan administrator is not responsible for the availability, quality, outcome or results of medical care received by a healthcare provider in their network.
