Limitation
An exception to regular coverage such as restrictions to medical care or reduced medical benefits.
Examples
- Eligible emergency medical expenses can be reduced and the emergency benefits amount capped if you do not report your medical emergency to the plan’s administrator as soon as possible.
- The insurer or plan administrator must approve evacuation and some medical procedures in advance.
